MANGLOREAN DAL WITH SPLIT PIGEON PEAS
1. HALF CUP TUVAR DAL (WASHED)
2. 1/12 CUP WATER
3. 3 GREEN CHILLIES SLIT
4. A PINCH OF TURMERIC
5. A PINCH OF HING
6. SALT
PRESSURE COOK FOR 3 WHISTLES
TADKA (TEMPERING)
- 1 HEAPED TABLESPOON GHEE
- HALF TSP MUSTARD SEEDS
- 3 DRIED RED CHILLIES BROKEN INTO PIECES
- 8 CURRY LEAVES
ADD TO THE DAL AFTER MASHING IT AND GARNISH IT WITH CORIANDER LEAVES AND COOK IT FOR 1 MORE MIN ADDING A LITTLE WATER.

2ND RECIPE
SIMPLE DAL TADKA WITH MUNG DAL (PETITIE YELLOW LENTILS)
1. A TABLESPOON GHEE MIXED WITH A TABLESPOON OIL
2. ADD 3 CHOPPED GARLIC
3. HALF INCH CHOPPED GINGER
4. ONE FINELY CHOPPED ONION
5. ADD GREEN CHILLIES 3 (ACCORDING TO YOUR HEAT TOLERANCE)
6. 5 RED CHILLIES
7. 1/2 TSP OF JEERA (CUMIN) SEEDS
8. ONE FINELY CHOPPED TOMATO
9. A PINCH OF TURMERIC
1/2 TSP OF RED CHILLI POWDER
1/2 TSP OF CORIANDER POWDER
SALT TO TASTE
ADD QUARTER CUP MUNG DAL
1 AND HALF CUP OF WATER AND PRESSURE COOK FOR 5 WHISTLES
ADD CORIANDER LEAVES

THIRD RECIPE KERALA DAL (MY FAV)
1. ASH GOURD (WHITE PUMPKIN) FINELY CHOPPED A CUP FULL
2. HALF CUP TOOVAR DAL (SPLIT PIGEON PEAS)
3. 5 GREEN CHILLIES SLIT
4. ONE AND A HALF CUP OF WATER
5. A TSP OF TURMERIC POWDER
WHILE THE DAL IS BOILING AFER FIVE MINS ADD THE ASH GOURD AND GREEN CHILLIES
SALT TO TASTE
PRESSURE COOK FOR 4 WHISTLES
ADD A TSP OF PURE COCONUT OIL AND ADD TO THE DAL . ADD CRUSHED CURRY LEAVES (5-6) AND SERVE

NOTE : ADD EXTRA WATER IF THE DAL GETS THICKER.
